To celebrate its 150 years of watch-making heritage, Tissot launches its commemorative limited edition automatic chronometer watches, inspired by one of its most prestigious timepieces created exactly 56 years ago in December 1946. The top of the range chronograph watch is available in 8888 limited numbered pieces in stainless steel, as well as in 1853 combined steel and gold, 1853 gold and 150 platinum.
With its complicated decorated traditional movement with counters at 3, 6 and 9 o'clock and its 19th century-style engraved back case with gilded oscillation weight showing the foundation and anniversary dates of 1853 and 2003, this timepieces embodies the very best of past and present technology, and promises to be something to be treasured by collectors from around the world. In addition there is also a limited three-hand version both in steel and in gold, also in numbered pieces.
